Hopefully nobody has posted these Find a Logo for a Business Requester: Andy K Reward: $0.14 per HIT https://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=2KC6F0OHOVR1A1PH9UC97HFIYGC43R
Okay: At the moment... The Thanks button does just that... It provides a visual thanks for something some one else posted. Like a good HIT or an answer to a question, etc.... The reputation button holds much more weight! With the reputation button not only can you leave a brief comment concerning a post but you also add or take away "reputations points." The number of points some one has is graphically displayed above some ones avatar. If it is red that means a BAD reputation on the forum. If it is green then it is normal or good depending on the number of green bars. Every one has one bar at the moment. I wanted to set it up so each Thank You gave a reputation point. But if I do that then if you thank some one you can not then add reputation points as the thank you adds one and you can not add twice. This is a problem because depending on how many reputation points the giver has, the number of posts they have made, the number of days they have been a member, etc.. adds up to make the number of reputation points they give or take each time different. So a new member with limited posts or a member with a so-so reputation does not affect some one else's reputation points as much as a long time member or some one who has very high reputation. Therefore, if I set it up to give a point every time some one is thanked the same member can not go in again and add reputation points that may be higher than the one. On the other hand, if they add reputation first then they can not then go in and provide the visual thank you. I may change it back so each thanks equals a reputation point - but not at the moment. The importance of the Thank You's and Reputation is to allow members a visual representation of whom is known to be helpful, trustworthy and generally provide good information based on what other fellow members have found. The Thank You's add no additional features, functions or anything other than a visual representation on individual posts and # of times thanked. The reputation points are much more dynamic and allow for a visual graph of the members reputation level on the forum based on other members as well as other functions. The reputation option also allows the giver to leave a comment about why they feel the way they feel. A member can review the comments left for them in their Settings menu on the bottom right. There are many other benefits to the reputation option as well that are not listed in this post. Suffice to say - a thanks is a thanks... But adding or taking away reputation points is a much stronger representation, especially considering that the number of points, up or down, that are given to some one is directly proportionate to the reputation of the user that provided the reputation. Meaning any one can thank some one at the same level but when it comes to reputation - the stronger the member the greater affect it has on the receivers reputation. Hope this helps. And again - this is a work in progress...
Is the site down for anyone else? I'm getting a problem loading page after submitting an Andy K. Amazon.com seems to be working...
Well now it's working but all of the Andy K hits are gone! You guys are lame, stop doing all the batches!
Haha sorry. I work nights and today was my only day all week to sleep and some ass hats out side my house are doing construction.
*yawn* feels good to wake up with 100 already in the bank... too bad you guys didn't save any more professor hits for me time to hit up the courses...
Not at all... I would encourage both... A thank you is always nice... But some one who is always giving good HITs or provides some really good info or support may deserve something more. On the other hand - another member might deserve a little gotcha from a fellow member with a comment (that only they see) telling them why it's not right for the forum to do something they did without a public tiff. This provides an additional tool for the forum to moderate itself. Which is every ones goal!
Out of all the matt rubin hits I did earlier, I have ONE that is approved... He must be checking each and every one of them that I did because I commented on each one. lol
