Miku, whose mirror server helped Turkopticon users deal with capacity issues, is going to change servers. The SSL certificate on his old server will expire October 27. THIS WILL "BREAK" MANY SCRIPTS IN WIDESPREAD USE because they continue to refer to Miku's mirror for performance reasons (or out of sheer inertia). All references to: api.turkopticon.istrack.in should be changed to: mturk-api.istrack.in if they want to continue using Miku's TO mirror (Otherwise they will have to change to http://turkopticon.ucsd.edu/api ) source: The Other Place
I want to thank Tjololo (and other script authors) for updating their work! The 'official' editions of these scripts have been updated to reflect the change MTurk Great HIT Export HIT Scraper WITH EXPORT Turkmaster (MTurk)
Good morning! I updated my HIT Scraper yesterday after having the "TO down" issue and it was working fine, but now I woke up this morning and it's doing the same thing again. I have the newest version (saw another update) and still don't know what's wrong Nevermind...it decided to start working again
In case you haven't found it yet, at least for Chrome, go into tamper monkey, open the script codes for the scripts which will need to be edited, along the top there should be a "replace" option. Replace api.turkopticon.istrack.in to mturk-api.istrack.in
I use Firefox. How do I know if I need to replace anything? Would that have to do with the error messages that I sometimes get when I change pages? I'm leary about changing something and then making it worse and not knowing how to change it back. :/ What does "mirror" mean in this case?
UPDATE: I found a post that fixed the problem I was having below. I disabled tampermonkey and restarted my browser, and all my scripts appear to be working again, yay! But I'll still leave my post here in case someone else has the same issue. This isn't working for me. I'm in the TamperMonkey userscripts area and I've opened a couple of them to replace those things. But even after saving them, it did nothing. I tried searching the scripts for api.turkoptican and mturk.api, and they aren't even in the script at all. I am so confused! My TO is working, but I really need the script to block requesters to work. I am sorry for the trouble but I'd appreciate if someone could help me. I need a scripting for dummies book cause I really don't know a damn thing. And I don't think this happened on the 27th. It just happened on the 1st. So maybe it's a different issue?
I don't have firefox readily available, but I did find this. I think if there isn't a "replace" button, you would be able to use the search/find function and have it look for "api.turkopticon.istrack.in", and just replace the instances that show up.
Thank you, but I will have to leave it as is. I'm not sure if mine is broken or not. I don't know how to tell.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This helped me fix the Color Coded Search script. I've been trying to fix it for weeks!
