I like doing these as they are slightly better paying receipt transcription tasks. I have yet to have any work rejected and they pay fairly quickly. Just a few comments/questions for others that do these HITS: For the item transcription tasks, is there a way to open the receipt image in a another window like you can for Jon Brelig and Richmond? It seems with Kumar you can only zoom it in and use the controls at the top to go up and down. Sometimes this causes an issue because the control will stop displaying when you mouse over the receipt and then you are stuck unless you open the task in another window. Just annoying. Also, with these HITS, one false move and fat finger and you hit the Enter key and it submits the HIT! At least even with other requester s you have to click a button and even then it asks you if you are sure. I usually use Chrome and have tried other browsers but still have these nit-picky issues. I plan to email them with suggestions about these, but just wanted to check with others to see if you experience the same or other problems?
Same issues here especially when I can't move the arrows because it's stuck. Maybe you should try emailing him. Pls post it here in case you get a reply. Tnx.
You can right-click on the images and open them in a new tab. Or you can right-inside the HIT and reload the entire frame (without reloading the URL).
Thanks, Opening in the new tab doesn't work if it's a multiple image receipt. I will have to try reloading the frame, I didn't see that as an option.
If you can get the first one, you can get any of them - the numbering scheme is simple: -0.jpeg -1.jpeg -2.jpeg -3.jpeg etc. al.
Thanks much, I should have checked the image naming conventions. I am good now if anything goes wrong with one of these hits?
What do you do with the invoice, do you do it same as a receipt? First time I am getting an invoice so I'm a little bit confused.
The random rejections are becoming annoying. The lack of communication just adds fuel to the fire of my disappointment. The 3¢ is simply not worth the aggravation.
Seems like the verifier was in a bad mood and took it out on us. I've been working on his HITs for quite a while now, and (believe it or not) the number of rejections on the Bloody Sunday exceeded the overall number of rejections I've been subjected to by this Requester thus far. The lack of communication is indeed annoying. If the rejections were owing to my mistakes, then I'm fine by it. But at least for once, the Requester ought to inform us about the mistake so that it can be avoided in the future. On the other hand, if the rejections were a chance mistake (!!) on Requester's part, at least he should care to reverse the rejections now that it's possible. Is there any other way to reach the Requester in question?
He commented on one of mine: “Items not typed up correctly.” That’s really helpful. There are no items on the HITs I do - I only do the 3¢ store info ones. I am starting to wonder if these are being evaluated by majority rules.
Not even majority rules I guess as he rejected abruptly. Probably does as he pleases!! Or maybe I just got lucky on a Bloody Sunday!! In a twisted way, of course. Can only wish he'd come clear about this chance encounter sooner than later....... although I know that's too much too ask for from this celebrated Requester. Expect the best, but be prepared to accept the worst.
I have now gotten three rejections from this requester. I have emailed frequently with no response. I am absolutely sure these are complete mistakes on his part. Furious.
Well, good luck with contacting him. Maybe he has reading issues. I've received 3 rejections for 2 days consecutively. All I can do is imagine as to why the HITs may have been rejected. Probably he's set up some sort of unique quota to reject x number of HITs for every y number of submissions by a Worker. Or maybe he just goes on a shooting rampage every once in a while. Wish there was some way to reach this guy as this has started (with me, at least) only since the last weekend while I've been working on his HITs for more than a month now. And of course, I wasn't facing this sort of daily rejections previously. Another theory would be that he's hired someone else to verify the HITs who is not committed enough in doing his job. If this continues, I might as well have to stop working on his HITs. In fact, I'd stop working on 'em right now........ but for a want of a better option. Until then, I'll have to put up with this exploitation. Anyways, enjoy the weekend. May every Sunday not be a Bloody Sunday!! Update: The number of HITs rejected on 19th rose to 12 from 3!!! So, as per now, the stats for HITs rejected by Vishwanath for last 3 days are as follows: 8 (on 17th), 3 (on 18th), 12 (on 19th).
