Hey guy. Just started getting serious about mturk/crowd sourcing work. My goal is to use it as a way to suppliment my income while doing some really-low budget bicycle touring. I am not quite as efficient of a turker as I would need to be to make this work, but I seem to be making steady progress.

If any of you guys are currently--or plan on--doing something similar, I would love to hear about it. If you are using mturk to facilitate any other sort of pocket change kung-fu, I would love to hear about that too.

But yeah here I am. Great site. Hope everyone has a good day.

I'd like to, but every time I get into the groove and start Turk habits that give or will lead to higher payouts, something changes.

That stinks. If I can reasonably assume to make $50 dollars a week with only a few days dedicated to turking, I would be satisfied. My expectations are medium-low. Hopefully I will surprise myself.

I think your expectations are very reasonable, hobomatic. Check out the Statistics forum and you'll see that plenty of folks work certain strategies or quals or specialize and would have no problems exceeding $50/week by spending a few days.

Now, I Turk specifically because I can make $50 at it on just about any weekday. It's become a great source of quick money.
