Oh hell no. I already get neck pain as it is. Tilting my head back to see up in the air won't help that LOL.



It's similar to that - just reverse it (my monitor is on the right) and the shelf my monitor is on is a bit shorter. If I stuck another monitor on top of that shelf on the right there (mine has a flat top), I'd dieeee.

 

Almost done with Christmas shopping. How are you guys doing on yours?

 

There was a GORGEOUS desk I saw for sale (for 150.00!) on one of our FB for sale groups, but that's the first thing I thought of... not very functional with even one larger monitor. It's one of those that have the glass cabinets above it and on the sides. So pretty but no room for screens.

 

But it's soooo sessssssyyyy. Like when you're adding images to your code, you can mouseover the file name and it'll pop up with a little image preview so you can double check everything and peek at its size.

Plus it's got the web preview thing, and the other thing, and the stuff!

 

I do love those previews! It made me forget about all of the trash that I was about to talk.

 

Mines nothing special, I make do with what I have tho, vibe is huge when you spend so much time on the computer

 

Brackets,Sublime? Not a clue what any of that means.

LOL. One of these days I'll get a new desk. Or not. This thing's a fossil but it's a heavy fossil that I don't feel like hiring someone to come haul out of here.

 

I need to raise my monitors up. I'm looking down on them and it's not good on my neck.

This is mine... it's hard to get a good picture with lighting from my lights and the monitors. Oh well lol



But yeah... I need monitor stands. I also think I need some Christmas lights haha

 

Faith, this looks so fancy. I'm on the couch with a laptop.

 

One thing I do like about this is where your keyboard is, I hate having to use a drawer cuz there is not nearly enough room. I like your matching monitors, maybe you could just mount them to the wall at the height you want? or just stack boxes underneath like me lol. Eye level is huge when you add up the hours spent looking at them!

 

in bed with laptop wishing my arms weren't a permanent counterbalance for typing and clicking. God a mouse would be nice.

I was in so much pain when I was on my laptop at either my kitchen table or sitting on my bed with it.

But I have to say that there are times I wish I could turk from my desktop while laying in my bed because I get sick of sitting here haha

I love my desk though. I hunted forever for the perfect antique door and my boyfriend bought me the glass as a birthday present (that's a lot more expensive than I imagined!!!) and I spent time cleaning all the grease from the pipes for the base. I love it.

 

Same here! I always get so jealous when I see these double monitors. I could have one but I tried it once and it actually slowed me down. So, I am not sure if I am just somehow really fast with a laptop, and average on a desktop with mouse. Or just average to slow with a laptop and SUPER slow on a desktop.

I seem to keep up pretty well and have good earnings, so I am hoping I'm bucking the odds and doing as good with my 17 inch laptop than many people on split monitors. I have split pages open all the time. I'm not great at multitasking so maybe that's what slows me down....

 

Plaster walls. I don't even have pictures hung up because I'm scared to eff up the walls. I just bought some command strips so I can hang some pictures but yeah, not trying to mount these up. I'll just make some bases or use some neat books or something

I still need to redo the base though, need to switch out some pipes because the desk is still a bit too tall for me. But that's the nice thing about this... it's totally customizable for my short self lol

 

I'm just finally crawling up to 30 dollars
