I agree. I am going to steer clear from now either way. I never did a ton of the HITs in the past, but I've probably done a combined 120 or so from various days. It's the first time I had an issue.

  2. I just did that one. I thought they wanted you to make up a unique ID to put in both mturk and the survey.

I think it the unique ID you make up in the beginning of the survey.

Yeah, I just used my worker ID and typed it in at the beginning of the survey and included it on the blank box on the HIT page.

I opened one and returned it because there was no name of the place. It does make you mad that someone would do this for a nickel. I would ask her if she could reverse the rejection and tell her you'd be happy to send her a dime for her trouble.

How long does Neema usually take to email back? And how do I email amazon to see if I have any blocks on me?

The one and only reason it pisses me off is because I only did and have ever done ONE. My very first hit for her and she blocks me right away? That just isn't right. A rejection is one thing...but a block? For one eff up? You gotta be kidding me...

She emailed me back almost immediately. I have a feeling she is being swamped with people she has rejected that didn't deserve it because the site was bugged.

As far as being blocked, I'm fairly certain she was referring to a soft block, not a hard block. I haven't gotten one, but my understanding of the very damaging hard block is that Amazon sends you an email indicating as such.

  10. neema is quick, within an hour.. for amazon just contact them under the help section

Received this rejection today from William Patton:

"Instead of " I inform everyone I know that they are living in a eugenic based technocratic scientific dictatorship run by powerful multi-national banks and corporations." which is excellent, could you have something like " I LOVE THAT... WE are living in a eugenic based technocratic scientific dictatorship run by powerful multi-national banks and corporations." Please resubmit, thank you."

  13. i have done hundreds of these hits and never had an issue.. you are jumping the gun by giving her a bad TO right away which is not right.. she is a new requester and may not know the block policy or how it effects workers... e-mail her and be nice and you will get better results

haha there's lots of boobies waiting for you tonight!!!
He has two batches up. the .08 ones where the title has to be 61 char. and he has some .12 ones for longer titles (90+ char). I'm not even messing with the 12 cent ones. I already be trying to stretch the words in just the 8 cent ones.

I agree. I haven't had a problem with Neema in the past. I really don't like having four rejections from something silly that added up to $0.20, but she has been a good requester in the past.

Can someone confirm that when you get a hard block that Amazon emails you? I've had soft blocks before where it says "This requester has prevented you from working on their HITs" message, but I've never received an email about a block. I thought I remembered reading about someone getting emailed about a hard block.

I'm sure after blocking all these people mercilessly, someone had to have mentioned it to her. Either she's not very intelligent, or just being a jerk, IMO. You can see my point, can't you?

It's not right. It's crazy. Sadistic. Some of these requesters kill me with their nickel rejections. I could see if you had done many of them. But one. Just a little doltish on her part.

Eh, I don't think it's that malicious honestly. She is probably just seeing a list of results that have lots wrong and is just as much on auto-pilot as we are when you are looking at large sums of repetitive data. She should at some point see that the errors are prevalent and stop doing it.

But yes, I do understand your frustration.
