  3. with great pleasure. :)

  4. Thanks for this script, it helps a lot but is not 100% accurate.

I think it is accurate. I think many of the requesters have auto-post of hits, and that they go so quick that time you click - its gone - I have seen hits go time I hit accept.

  6. I find that none of the used-up Redwoods get marked in red - click through and nothing to do...

I dont think the Redwood cant be detected by the script. Same as the Crowdflower since they have multiple hits and they check against multiple workers and limit in what you can work on their end.

So there is a hit, just that you already worked it.

  8. Yeah, so, in conclusion, it doesn't work for those hits. It can't tell me, before I click into it, whether those hits are available.

Hi guys, I am new to Mturk and new to using scripts ( this is my first script), and I was wondering when is a HIT unavailable ? Right now, all i see are checkmarks on the boxes next to the "show me this HIT" button. If the hit is unavailable, would it have an x in the box instead ?
Secondly, in this thread of mine http://mturkforum.com/showthread.php?2704-HITs-become-unavailable-or-broken-the-moment-I-accept-them I talked about how I couldn't do any more crowdflower hit even though they still had 12000 available. Someone had mentioned in that same thread that crowdflower likes to limit the number of hits a worker can do for them. But in the box next to the "show me the HIT" button, there is still a checkmark. So does this script not work with crowdflower's limiting us ?
Also, a lot of HITs seem to be broken for me even though yesterday they seemed to work fine, yet these HITs still show as available for me. Mturk is a confusing place...

  10. Hi Funny Bunny.

I saw your other thread, welcome to the forum (I am new, too).

If working properly, the link to the right of the screen that you click to view a HIT will be changed to RED if there are no hits available.

I find there are a few requesters HITs it doesn't work with though so still be cautious.

If I accept a HIT with none available I will leave the HIT assigned until close to the time expiring, occasionally checking it. Sometimes a new HIT is available during that time and saves a returned HIT.

wow, it's been a long time since I made this. I was suppose to get email notifications whenever someone posted, but I didn't get any so that's why I've been quiet up until now.

A quick scan shows that there hasn't been too many problems so I'm glad about that. someone mentioned that it doesn't work for Cloudflower or redwood. The reason being is this script detects if a link will automatically return you to the search page with the alert at the top saying "no more hits available" Cloudflower and redwood don't redirect, but rather tell you after you accepted the hit if non are available... which is quite annoying and I'm not sure how to detect that script wise.

Scott, you were having problems? any idea why it's not working?

  15. Anyone know how to install this anymore now that everything has to go through the chrome store?

When you click on the script, it should still go into the download bar at the bottom of your browser.
Go to this url, then drag the script to it. chrome://chrome/extensions/
Another option is to install TamperMonkey.

So it doesn't work with Firefox?

This is how to install it with chrome.
TamperMonkey is basically GreaseMonkey for Firefox.

  19. Thank you!

    Discover Fake Availabilities broken?

This has been working like a charm for almost ever and suddenly over the holiday weekend it is causing the pages to just keep grinding on and on. I have to disable it in order to fully load pages. It is no longer giving me the little round circle as it goes through the hits listed on the page and no longer turns the "View a Hit in this group" red so that I know to keep going without wasting a lot of time.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have checked to see if moving it up/down in Tampermonkey helps (it didn't). I've checked to see if there was an update and there doesn't seem to be.

    Chrome Version 47.0.2526.106 m

I haven't added any new scripts of any sort. Is there a different script that would serve the same or almost same function?

    Help ?
