I was on here last jan. when I got banned from another board but it was very slow so I never came back.
I've heard far worse at work. Our mail department often forget their walkie talkies by our desks. It's always nice to hear about someone's rompus from the night before. Rompus. I freaking love that word.
I just thought it was weird there were multiple sets like that... omfg...laughing so hard I'm crying....
i highly doubt it. i used tripadvisor and many other sites to supplement some of these reviews and i cannot recall a single one that mentioned anything other than being laid over between flights or using the hotel as the main place they stayed while visiting a particular city. why would you pay... PAY... to stay somewhere if you live in that town. get a park and fly package? possibly. stay the night? really unlikely. i'd like to smack some sense into the few people that would actually do this. this whole sentence... fragment... thingy...

I joined near the end of September. I found this site through google. I'd heard some stuff about Reddit but my experience with that site was bad from when it first started out. So I presumed it was still a creeper haven. Much to my surprise it isn't anymore. I signed up there in October and usually post in tech or when I need work help. I love the jokes in certain threads. Last night there was a Hillary Clinton one, specifically about the comments Newt Double-Chingrinch made about her winning in 2016 and oh my, the Bill jokes were amazing!
This place was the first forum I found using google. I joined up a week or so later. Been a great place to me I have learned a lot and taught a lot as well.
Yeah. My second month there I was trying to figure out why a certain portion of a product we make, which is very well known around the world, wasn't working. I had to get in the code by the week's end and I had been slacking the entire week. It was Thursday. So while cursing under my breath I have a eureka moment, and as I was about to start dancing in my chair I hear "Oh Max, my girlfriend let me eat her.... last night" and I just sat there wondering WTF is Max and why am I hearing voices? LOL In a way I'm happy I passed on an offer to go up country. I would have died from boredom there. Washington just seems lame.
Yeah I started turking towards the end of October and used Reddit because I already live on there as it is then I found out about this board.
I know people who have done it. Sometimes their jobs will pay for the room, so why not...a change of scenery is nice. Some people have red-eye flights and don't want to deal with an early morning drive...easier to catch a shuttle to the airport. Sometimes people have early flights and don't want to pay for long term vehicle parking, deal with a cab and can't find anybody willing to drop them off at the airport. In some places traffic is a bitch and if the only flight you can grab is at 8 AM you're better off being closer to the airport so you aren't missing your flight.
