I currently don't have another job (yet). My daily goal is $30, but if I'm actually dedicated to turking I'll usually pass $50

No turking is my only job. The amount I make per day varies wildly. Like today I struggled to make 5.00. But yeaterday I made over 70.00. Just depends on how much, and what kind of work is available.

Edit: Well I do work in my studio producing and engineering music, but I don't have a regular job...

i have a full time job so i only spend 1-3 hrs a day turking so i can make some spending money. lot of lay offs in my family recently so money is tight. my weekday goal is $5 a day and i'll take what i can get on weekends. when i break 5000 approved i'm probably gonna bump that to $10

So ya'll today bites and if I stay on this computer I'll be getting the divorce papers in my email. Got to take a break, to get my hubby off my back. Made all of $17 bucks today - damn it hurts. I don't know if I'll be able to catch up later this week. My hubby's forcing me to go to the Mall, I hate shopping retail, to buy stocking stuffers for our little minecraft creation :)

    Peeps ya later:)

ps sikk66 - TY very much for spreading the holiday cheer :)

I couldn't even tell you. I got the account in August 2010, then just never touched it until this month. No idea how it was even active anymore.

There was a popular post on reddit about 3 weeks ago and I just started lurking til a few days ago. Some spending cash isn't too bad.

A little bit more than 8 dollars per day when you average it out.

For what it's worth, i just started 3 weeks or so ago, on a very not serious basis, and I just hit my first $100. if there wasn't anything great/i was busy, I wouldn't do much. Some days with free time i'd hit a good batch... I'm at about 800 confirmed, not even to 1k yet, and it'll pick up more as I go.

I found it doing some searching for working at home. I used to work on ChaCha andwering questions from time to time, and it SUCKED. The money was terrible. It was a lot of work, for very little reward.

THIS. I did ChaCha for quite some time, and literally couldn't bring myself to ever sit through more than a few questions at a time.

Random internet article. Ironically, it was talking about how it was so terrible because Americans would "work for a quarter an hour". I checked into myself and quickly realized that with a little hard work and the right basic skills, this would easily substitute for a 'real' job. As an aside, I totally think that working from home on projects that you are good at is the future of employment, and I think you'll see wages rise as more companies realize this.

It was one the most painful things I've ever done. I thought that was as good as it gets for the work from home gigs. Little did I know what a gem I would discover in mechnical turk...

Ideally, I'd like to get enough HITs approved and get enough quals that I can do this full time and make around $2k a month. If I can hit that, I'll be in business.

That's roughly $65 a day with no days off. That's possible but you may throw yourself out the window before the end of the month.

Gahhh that's awesome!! I can't wait to make that much. I'm mostly turking to pay back my student loans every month, but without a job every cent counts.
