So I've been turking for over a month but for some reason I JUST CANT FIGURE OUT the Rubin hits. I look for the course catalog and sure enough I cant find ANYTHING. For instance , one was for skyline college - discrete mathematics. I found the catalog on http://www.skylinecollege.edu/catalogschedule/assets/documents/catalog20122013.pdf but cant find ANYTHING to do with discrete math. Any helpers?
Sorry that I just noticed this now. When that happens, post the link to the course catalog and say something in the comments to the effect of "this course is not available/does not exist" He'll still approve them if that's the case.
Skyline College is a community college in California that offers associate degrees. It is quite possible that they do not offer the course. However, I do not know how MR wants the HIT completed in these cases. The wisdom you seek may be buried somewhere in this thread (and then again, it may not be).
He is very communitive in email - just send a note and ask. We don't want a requester like this to go away to just guess work or bad work!
When I emailed him about this kind of thing he told me that he was looking for the course that best fits the one listed - Intro to Mathematical Statistics might just be something like Stats 101 for the college I am looking at. I have noticed the link he provides for the catalogs does not usually include community colleges, I usually have to google the school to find the website and then look for the catalog that way.
