Some HITs give very little time for youto compelte the HIT. They want yo t rview a website, wirte a blog on it and post it on your blog page and then give the link all in 10 minutes. Then they reject ithe blog by saying that it was too short. how can it all be done in 10 minutes? They must give you more time.

One time I saw a guy post 60 minutes of audio for transcription, providing 30 minutes to do it, and offering $1.50 for the HIT. WTF?

Seriously! I wasted time writing one, it expired before I finished, and then I couldn't submit... what a crock of $hit waste of time that was!

I have done that more times than I would like to admit too! And most you can't redo once you have accepted it! Very frustrating!

I normally check out the hit and whether it is possible before I accept it, but agree some are way too short. I wonder if you return it and try and pick it back up before someone else can get it is possible. Any ideas?

    Write it before

I write my 300 words in a document first, and then cut an past it after I've excepted the HIT. Just a suggestion

Yeah, it's a good thing to start doing the HIT before actually accepting it. But BE CAREFUL: some HITs may become unavailable after a while and you may stick with your job done for nothing.

The transcription hits pull this stunt all the time. What I do is accept the hit and then tell the requestor that there is no way this hit can be completed in the time allotted. A few minutes later, I noticed the hit was given the amount of time, or more, than I suggested. By the way, is there any way to contact the requestor without accepting a hit and writing to them in the comment box?

Yep, just click "Contact the Requester of this HIT" in the bottom right corner of the HIT details. If you don't see it on your HIT list, click "Show all details" at the top of the list, or click the title of the HIT if you only want to see the details for one.

If you want to contact the requester after accepting the HIT, then go to your HITs Assigned to You page, view the details the same way as described above, and you'll see the Contact link.
