Recently I was informed that there is no direct payment for Canadian freelancers. I an Canadian and was up to around $50 when I inquired about how to receive payment. I received a quick response back informing me that you had to be a US Citizen to receive payment to a bank account. The other option was to have my funds transferred to an Amazon card which is also US Based. They did say that hopefully down the road they would be able to pay Canadians. Does anyone know how soon this might be? Is anyone else Canadian that has received money? For now I will save my money in my account.

Keep saving your money in your Amazon account. I am also a Canadian, and tried to get around Amazon's U.S. residency requirements by opening a U.S. bank account through my local bank. This did not work because Amazonpayments wants you to be living in the U.S.

I've had no problem buying stuff from Amazon. But if you make the mistake of closing a Amazonpayments account, you will loose all the money that is in the account and not be able to get back on to mturk, without opening a new account with a new email address. STAY AWAY FROM AMAZONPAYMENTS.
