Is this board the same as turker nation? Anyone use both boards? Which one is your favorite?

Obviously not. I came to know of turkernation through this thread. Before it, I wasn't aware anything as such exists!!!

    There may be some.

Since I haven't registered with turkernation (nor do I intend to in the near future), mturkforum is my favorite.

This forum is totally seperate from the one you mentioned in your posting. This one was created well after turker nation, however I thought it was vital to have an independent (non-proboards hosted) turker forum.

Hi there. Turker Nation and mturk forum are two different fora, both with their own audience. On average, they do the same, but with different focus. Turker Nation focusses on long term requesters like 'Amazon Requester Inc', this board seems to focus more on other, newer requesters.
Plus, this board is obviously newer.

Side-note: even though mturk forum is pro-board hosted, it is completely independant form mturk or amazon.

I just noticed a big difference, on the bottom of the proboards one, you can pay to have the board 'Ad-Free'. But none show up anyways with Adblock Plus, an extension for Firefox.

Other than that, this board looks a whole lot nicer :)

I like and prefer this forum as the information which I need is available here. I have been to the other forum, but I have observed that this forum contains information about the hits which I prefer and work on.

I am especially thankful to our Super moderator Ergo, who has been a great help and who has guided me during rough patches and taught me to tackle different situations at MTurk.

I should also mention Andy, who conceived the notion of starting this forum and who provided us with a platform where we can exchange ideas and views and where newbies can easily get relevant information on turking.

Thank you for the kind comments. Ergo has been extremely helpful to this community- we're lucky to have him here. I haven't been that active lately; but i'm hoping to change that!

I was just surfing out the different sites hoping to get tips and suggestions. From what little I was able to see, you get "dinged" at the other forum for doing things wrong? I didn't understand that.

No one else does either. That's why a lot of people are here. To be rid of the idiosyncrasies of that board.

I whitelisted this forum in Adblock, since I spend so much time here.

I just wanted to thank Andy for the fine balancing act he does by managing this board without turning into a megalomaniac. Sorry if this is off-topic.

Thank you for your feedback. Our staff team also does an excellent job of this as well. In fact, there are probably some members on the admin/mod team which you would not even suspect. Nice to see a fellow long-timer still around these parts. (09'!)

I just found both forums yesterday. I want to find out as much as possible so I am signed up for both. Obviously I don't have a favorite yet, too early to tell.

One thing I will say is that I don't like how a good portion of turker nation is blocked off for newbies...
