I really liked Last Jedi. I was bummed when Abrams returned for this last one because I felt Force Awakens was pretty mediocre and unoriginal.
I liked it too. We are definitely in the minority tho. This one is already getting worse reviews than Last Jedi. They probably butchered it by being to predictable and not taking any chances. We'll see. I'll probably enjoy it regardless.

I think also there was this big desire to "fix" Last Jedi which if they tried to undo what Ryan Johnson started it's not going to work. Rian Johnson took Last Jedi in a surprising direction but nothing he did undermined The Force Awakens or any of the past Star Wars movies.
