Turker Nation never had anything for specific requesters, and just had an overall bad feel...which is a shame, because the forum that it used to be was great.
Awesome! I absolutely love this forum, I usually have it open all day in its own tab LOL I honestly haven't even been to TN in weeks now. I'm sure there's looooads of awesomely awesome superubercool tidbits I'm missing out on but..... yeah never mind I'll be nice. This place rocks.
Same here! I leave this open so I can check it when I remember to. After today's batch from Survos, I'm going to start being much more diligent on checking this forum.
I've noticed that it seems busier here. You should take at least some of the credit, Andy. I owned and operated a website for six years, so I know what kind of work is involved. I recently had an issue, and there you were ready to help even though it was user error, lol. That kind of support makes a difference. I'm new, but I don't feel like I'm new. I love this site, and check in whenever I get the chance. Keep up the good work, and thanks for providing this forum for us to use. ETA: Full disclosure: For those who don't know, I also post on TN under the same name and avatar. I know there have been some issues in the past between this site and that one, but I have found great people on both forums, and I like them both. Just consider me that girl with holes in her, lol.
I saw both when I first looked at Turking, thought this was a more laid back place. The other place has got a ton of rules and very strict moderators... aka people who take their position a little too seriously...
I post on both boards. I spend more time here though because it's just more relaxed with the rules. It's a bit of a pain having to proof read and edit your posts to make sure you aren't mentioning a requester's name in the general mturk section, or mentioning how many hits you submitted when you're not in the statistics section, etc.
I have gained so much info on here compared to the month ive been on the other site. Thanks to chaos and playa hamm and other active members who post so much valuable stuff on here.
That's AWESOME!!! I too post on both boards ( Pretty sure under the same name ) but I like this one better. When ever I have a question, and if I ask it here, I get honest helpful answers, even if its with a requester that doesn't pay very well. I have gained a lot of knowledge from both boards. But I must say, I really do LOVE the feeling of family and sharing on this one!!! Plus, honestly, I feel that having an active group of non-us workers makes us stronger and better! So here's to you, Andy, and all of the others that make this a great home! CHEERS!!!
I'm happy traffic is up. Does that include registered users or the guests that hang out every day, too? Just curious. Idk squat about this sort of thing. I like this one better, too. Just stayed at the other one long enough to peek behind the curtain and then exited to the left.
Traffic count includes all the visitors, members and guests. You can see the visitor statistics on the forum homepage "Currently active users" under the 'What's going on?' tab. And I noticed the widget that shows the Alexa rank which is added recently at the bottom of the homepage. And really glad to see that rank is going up quicker day by day.
