The students were very happy because they paid only $27 for the room ($9 each). However, if they paid $27 and the clerk kept $2, that adds up to $29. What happened to the other Dollar?
Ok, white is in order here: Of course the mistake is thatthe $2 is the difference between $25 and $27, not between $30 and $27. The complete sum is $30 (original charge)-$5 (rebate)+$2 (what the clerk kept)
