Except that he only puts up 3-4000, not 80-130000.

I'd have to say you're probably right. I never worked on either of their HITs -- any requester that uses majority rules to begin with is half insane, to use majority rules on a cheap HIT is worse, and to use it on multiple fields of text is just ludicrous. I love how they use the "broken" approval process as an excuse, then continue to A.) post HITs and B.) reject them!

    Hi 2MuchTurkin,
    love the name.
If you would like to send us your workerID over private message, I would be happy to explain why your work was rejected. If we can find an issue in the approval process we will update the method for the next batch. We’ll revoke the rejection if we are at fault.

We process over 2000 results each day, I hope you can understand that we need some filtering process to make the work more manageable for approval, this process is clearly displayed in the instructions.
Once again, When submitting results please make full use of the comments options to assist us in approving results.
@ Athena - Sorry, we’re not Sebastian Darr, we are CrowdServer

Total approved HITs is not less than 50, HIT approval rate (%) is not less than 70

Why is your qual so low but you're rejecting hits?? I feel sorry for the new guys doing your hits

And ONLY new people will do their HITs at this point. They use majority rules -- might as well say, "I want my work done for free!" Nobody should touch these. I repeat: NOBODY SHOULD TOUCH THESE.

Aw, that's cute. Unfortunately you can't reverse a rejection until 30 days after it was been given, and by then a person's account could be suspended or banned thanks to your unfair rejections. Maybe you should figure out a better way to ensure better results -- like, raise your qualifications. But since you don't, I can only assume you're another scammer greasing us up before you try to bend us over.

Wow booty, who told you that they can't reverse a rejection until 30 days after it has been given? That is BS! Hopefully that is not what you meant by the comment and if it is then tell the person that gave you that info that they are dead wrong.

As for the CrowdServer hits... I did ONE and it has approved so I may look further. Not really sure though because I can't make that much money on them.

Looking back... did the requester ever admit or deny being Sebastian Darr? Inquiring minds want to know.

    Edit: Ahhh just found it:

I read it somewhere. Can't recall where at the moment. It was in regards to a requester reversing a mass rejection error or something. If I can remember where I read it I'll update here. But yeah, someone had said that they can't do a reversal until 30 days after it was rejected. I was hoping it wasn't true but usually by the time a requester agrees to it and takes the time to do it, it's been 30 days anyway. I've never had any reversed. My rejecters are assholes or it was my fault.

Well I think they may have gotten it backwards then because I think they can reverse up until they are 30 days old. I will check it out to make sure and post when I find it.

    I Blame ResearchGate

I wrote the review of Crowdserver that you quoted since I was one of the first to try these HITs. I was very suspicious of them when I saw them, since they were of the same type as Sebastian Darr's hits (find a researcher's E-mail address from their name on a research paper) so I only did a few as a test and what do you know? 5 of 15 rejected, even when I was highly confident I'd gotten the E-mail addresses correct.

Between the two of them, Sebastian Darr and Crowdserver are responsible for slightly more than half of the rejections I have.

What I they're doing is trying to build an E-mail database for ResearchGate, which is a social network for scientists (think Facebook for Ph.ds) run by a bunch of Germans. (Sebastian Darr is their CMO.) However, for a site that's allegedly run by and for very smart people, they sure do act stupidly in trying to build their site.

For those of you who enjoy a little schadenfreude, there's also some tasty criticism of their E-mail practices in the Wikipedia article about Researchgate.
