Did anyone get an Amazon Turk survey in their e-mail? I got one this morning and answered it. It seems they're polling users about what they like and dislike about Amazon Turk, how important those likes and dislikes are (relative to each other) and are asking for suggested changes. It sounds very positive -- as if they may end up making significant changes, if Turkers respond with legitimate concerns and suggestions. I guess it's a random survey, so if you get one, be sure to respond.
This is very encouraging, especially coming right after the discovery that they're hiring people to work on MTurk. Thanks for letting us know!
Was this the first time you received such survey through e-mail? I didn't get any this week but I received one such e-mail on May 30, 2008, the Subject being "Take the Amazon Mechanical Turk Survey and you could win a $100 gift certificate" and content as following: As far as I remember, my brother too got one around the same time I received this survey. We completed it that time. Also, as per my best recollection, the queries you mentioned asked to you in the survey (suggestions, likes and dislikes, etc.) sound almost the same as to the queries in the survey I took back then (I think the last or second-last question was: "What will you change one thing about Mturk if you could?" or something similar). However, since then, I've hardly seen any changes in Mturk except for the newly introduced "Total Earnings By Year" on the Dashboard, which I feel someone would have hardly suggested!!! Let's hope that this time they won't just be taking the survey but act too as per the suggestions given in the survey which have potential to improve Mturk.

I wrote back, "Only one thing?" -- then I listed three of my top concerns. I think there was some sort of incentive to fill this one out, too. The deadline is sometime next week, but I already filled it out and sent it in.
I answered one such survey about five months back. They were various questions regarding hits, rewards etc, though I don't remember it very well. I also got it by email. Recently I have not got any such survey.
