    Hai All,

Just today i joined forum , and i joined mturk before 15 days. and am working for some hours daily

    Approved HITs $25.41
    Bonuses $2.06
    Total Earnings $27.47

    HITs Accepted 655 —
    ... Submitted 461 70.4%
    ... Returned 151 23.1%
    ... Abandoned 43 6.6%

    HITs Submitted 461 —
    ... Approved 333 99.7%
    ... Rejected 1 0.3%
    ... Pending 127 —

Above are my statistics. My Questions are

    1. Does Returned Rate Affects the Possibility of Accepting hits. Because for some requestor like Crowdflower , most of my time am getting "sorry you cannot take this task or Finished messages."

    Thanks
    Raj

No returned HITs don't affect anything. A lot of times we have to return HITs for reasons way beyond our control. The two things that matter the most are approved HITs and Rejected HITs. I pay not attention to my returned HITs.

Returned rate shudnt have much effect on you taking up or completing tasks because requesters hardly put up a qual. that asks for a return rate below this and that. But the abandoned rate is one criterion many requester upkeep in their requirements...So do make sure that u never expire any of your HITS...Incase u feel u cant do it well or cant finish on time just return it....

As far as crowdflower is concerned...Many of their Hits aint available to non-US and unfortunately some of it we know bout em only after axepting..This has nothing to do with return rate. The internal auto system of CrowdFlower aint co-ordinated with Mturk system to pre-screen out workers who shudnt take up certain tasks or do not meet the necessary qualification requirements !!

In short there is nothing to worry bout the return rate count or it %

Thanks libby and mohammad for your useful info . And am also little worried about the posts in the forum saying about account suspension. Am feeling bad to see some posts saying that , there earnings could not be received and account got suspended. Is there any rules that need to be followed to avoid this kind of troubles?

This is the reply Amazon gave when I inquired about the returned HITs some time back.

What are all the possible ways that an account get suspended?
Approval rate less than 75% ? More than one user from the same ip?

If you don't follow their rules which you should have read when you signed up and if you get a lot of rejections and blocks. The most important thing to do is do good quality work and work for requesters who are legit. Turkopticon will give you their stats. If you don't have it already it might be wise to do a quick search and download it.

I was worried about this too because a few times I've had to return them after finding out I wasn't qualified AFTER accepting the hit (one was because they weren't accepting people in my zip code area but you couldn't enter it until after you accepted it). Glad to know it won't hurt me.

I saw a hit that had returned < 50% qual. But the hit was a god-awful waste of time for .06, so I assume they were getting a lot of returns on that one.
