    Hey everyone,
You may have seen my MTurk's Biggest HITs Twitter feed, which tracks many of the $5 and above HITs posted to MTurk. Those HITs are hard to catch since they go so fast, so I want to offer you something even better:

Give me the name and requester ID of your favorite requester, and I'll set up a custom Twitter feed tracking that requester's HITs. Follow that requester's HITs and use a program like TweetDeck or similar to keep abreast of updates, and you'll have your very own customized HIT notifier and be among the first to know when your requester's HITs are up.

If you don't know the requester ID, take a look at the address bar after you've accepted one of their HITs. It's the code following the part of the URL that says

    &requesterId=

Eg., for our user Randulo's HITs, you'd see

    &requesterId=A2QR6SIRGK6VJI

Send me that code and the requester's name, and I'll set up your feed for you as soon as I can (which probably means in a day or two). Feel free to post it right here, or if you're shy send me a PM. :)

Clarification: This isn't just for $5 HITs and above. Like a requester who posts penny jobs? That's fine. I'd still be happy to set you up with a Twitter feed to track their HITs. (Sonica, thanks for asking!)

Hi, so you got around to working on this project. Are you talking about HITs which are $5 and above?

No, any amount is fine. Even penny HITs. :)

The one's I've done by this guy are only 14 cents but they're super easy and take about a minute or less.

    &requesterId=A29XDCTJMAE5RU

Should I be PM'ing you the requesterId's or is this fine?

You don't need to unless you absolutely have time to spare or something. I have the link to HITs by them in a txt file already :D

Very cool idea, ergo! Thanks for doing this. Speaking of randulo's HITs, I will be ordering transcriptions again soon. If anyone here has a love of technology and is interested in trying to coordinate (such as me posting a heads up) let me know.

I regret to announce that I won't be able to offer this service after all. Unfortunately I can't afford to pay for a necessary server upgrade. My apologies to those of you who expressed interest.

I was just wondering, if twitter requires payment from people/businesses for certain features, or this is because of the server supplying the info to twitter.

Anyways, I use Update Scanner, an add-on for Firefox, to check for HIT changes from my favorite requesters. Of course though, this does not work for popular HITs that are gone from almost the time they are posted.

It's the server supplying the info. As far as I know Twitter is free for everyone except the few advertisers they have so far. I wish I could run things from my own machine as I used to, but where I am now my internet connection is too slow.

Thanks for the tip about Update Scanner. I wasn't aware of that extension. Will definitely be checking it out.

I wish Amazon would provide a proper API to access HIT information. It's been suggested to them before, but seems to have gone to the same file where they put all the other suggestions... file 13 I believe. ;)
