    Hey everyone,

I've been lurking around various forums and found a some trustworthy requester for whom I can work for, mainly CastingWords at the moment.

Many fellow turkers recommend working for Andy K, but he requires a specific qualification I don't know how to obtain. Do I have to have prior experience working for him to get the qualification? Or maybe I need to get in touch with him?

    Any help is appreciated!

When you are looking at the HIT on mturk and it says "not qualified to work on this hit" and right next to it "why" click on to either or both of those, it should tell you.

    Hi Chad

I've been doing work for AndyK for quite a long time...even before he started qualifying workers.

Right now he posts work for the general population and also for those workers who have been qualified for his work.

The best way to get qualified is to do the general population work and do a good job at it. If you have questions or concerns about your work message Andy and ask him how you can improve your work, etc.

Once Andy sees that you do a good job and follow instructions he will either automatically qualify you without you having to ask (that's how he did it with me) or you can put in for the qualification.

He's very particular on who he sets up for the qualified work. He wants to see that you will answer the questions using your own works (absolutely no cutting and pasting) and he will check to make sure that your spelling and grammar is good and that your answers are pertinent.

Make sure on general population tasks that require checking the work of other people that you keep a sharp eye out for spelling and capitalization errors. Correct those. If the answer doesn't match the question rewrite the answer, etc.

He does pay extremely well (for MTurk) for most of the tasks he sets out. All he asks in return is that his workers don't use code or bots to do the work and that you do the work to the best of your ability. Once he adds you to what he used to call his Dream Team that means he doesn't believe he has to babysit your work any longer.

Unfortunately to make my long story short...you have to prove yourself to him so just go after those general population HITs and do the best you can.

    Good luck!
