I have always reported my income from mTurk, but I have never had a supporting tax document to back it up. Today I got my first - from Crowdflower. It’s not that I haven’t crossed the $600 reporting threshold for any one requester before - I have. This is just the first year any requester has bothered to send me a 1099. It looks like the Taxman is finally making his presence felt in the crowdsourcing world.
