When Dolores Labs became CrowdFlower all their ethics have gone. Dolores Labs was a pretty good requestor with descent paying hits for nominal works. The same policy was followed by Crowd Flower at the beginning, but recently they are turning out to be more cruel. They are either making the pay rate to half of what was earlier or are making the workload double. I did'nt expect this from them.
I totally disagree. Delores Labs paid very poorly, and their HITs are full of errors in the quality control questions.
I'm with swiftkick. I won't touch them. I may be poor but I still have some dignity. Ten minutes of work for a whopping $0.10, only to get their "Oops! Some of your answers weren't as expected"
What you mean swiftkick? If you are telling about another requester then you can tell that in the Requester Section.
Yeah, I had the same experience with Dolores Labs. I'd try to do some of those hits once in a while. I'd do a whole bunch of work just to be told it isn't right. The pay wasn't enough to make it worth trying again and again.
"I'm with (name)" is a saying, like, "I agree". I was agreeing with what the poster right above me had said in post #3.
I am not able to do any HIT of crowdflower. Some HITs are for US citizens only and I am not not qualified to participate there. For balance HITs, I am receiving some standard messages like "You are not permitted to do the job" or "Thank you. You have done enough of this task. Search for other crowdflower tasks." or "Your location does not permit you to take part in this HIT". Are people from outside US receiving similar messages? If it is so, then I shall not approach them. Otherwise, I plan to request clarification from crowdflower. Kindly inform.
If they found any problem in the quality CrowdFlower will not allow to do more HITs. I got that problems also they are not paying to the worth of the work we do. So I blocked them using the Block Requester Script.
Approved Payment Pending...................... What does this means?? Will I get the payment for sure or I have to wait untill the Requester wills to???
Dont worry Sayantan. Ofcourse you will get the payement for the hits that are approved. Each requestor pays the workers after certain time . Some of the requestors like oscar pays within hours, while some takes 1 week or more. Usualy you get paid within the second week itself. And also there is an option to get autopaid if the payement is pending after one month, although i havent heard anyone has got any use of that option, because you always get payed before that
It seems that there were lots of people who were already fedup with Dolores, but atleast to me they seemed good when they were Dolores (not crowdflower). Are the people who disliked Dolores from US because you get hits with more payrate??? If you are non US residents , can you please PM me or please share here those requestors. I feel sorry for myself for at the beginning of my turking dolores was my best and only choice who didnt reject me even once
Same for my case bro.. Dolores my good requester when I first joined and started earning from Mturk. I liked to see many of the Dolores HITs like verify an address/phone number of a business, many such like things were there also good pay for starters who are non-US, Now when they changed their name to CrowdFlower that Flower contains many thorns, that many problems, they are not giving the reward worth for the time and work we do. I have seen a HIT from Crowdflower saying that you will have to find 8 emails and paying only $0.01. Then I thought I will have to never see this requester's HITs anymore until I hear a good news. So me blocked this requester for the time being using the script.
I like the metaphor. I recently did over 50 of their $0.05 HITs, but have yet to see if I get rejections or approval. Did them almost 24 hours ago, so starting to worry what will happen. XD
