After 3 requester blocks.....with 2 of them being completely bogus and by known scammers... With the last block being in December.... After an email out of the blue, in early Feb telling me that I needed to raise my approval rate, when my approval rate had been rising since January. With only a handful of HIT rejections for the entirety of Feb.... I get an account suspension e-mail this morning. I haven't violated any of the TOS. It was for requester blocks in December. 3 phone calls and about 6 emails to Amazon later....I'm in the appeals process. I'm not hopeful. I can't impress on them enough that this is my livelihood. If they turn my appeal down, I'll just keep pressing.
I just got reinstated. If you get suspended: 1) Appeal it. Email. Call. Give them a sob story. Do whatever you can. 2) DO NOT make a second account. 3) BE PERSISTENT. 4) BE PERSISTENT. 5) Did I mention be persistent?
No. You don't contact the requester, especially if the requester is a scammer or you don't know who blocked you. You appeal directly to MTurk. It doesn't hurt to appeal to the requester if you know who it is, but your primary appeals and 99% of your efforts go to MTurk.
