for some hits that require you to Enter you MTurk worker ID, for some reason and IDK why, instead of entering the id with numbers and letters, ive just been entering my user name... which is, my first and last name. lol... so i just realized i shouldn't be doing that? but my question is since ive been doing that will that affect if my hits go through / get approved or not? even if ive been giving my name instead of the ID can they still link it together and i get credited? or did i end up doing those hits for nothing? sorry if this answer is here somewhere and i just missed it thanks
You will more than likely be rejected for that. They ask for your worker ID to verify that you did the work but they cannot verify by your first and last name because they don't have that information anywhere else.
you might be able to save yourself a rejection if you contact the requester while the hit is still in pending status and let them know your worker ID and the name you gave them on the survey.
thanks thats what i just did. i have 37 pending approval, and of course i can no way remember which hit required my id, so i went ahead and messaged all 37. hopefully they understand
