I've done some of the location mapping for various cities, but am just so wary to whether it's a scam or not.

It's been nearly a week and none of their hits have been approved. It just seems to be one of those "too good to be true" hits.

Has anyone participated yet and/or know more about Carto Swap?

    Thanks in advance!!

He is a new requester. He is offering a $1 for locating 50 map locations. Seems good to be true... Let us see whether he will approve or not...Good Luck!

Those are my favorite HITs ever! Definitely not a scam, because they have always paid me every time I took them!

They have posted hundreds of HITs called "Is this restaurant in San Francisco Closed?". In the instructions they specify that we are to phone the restaurant during business hours to determine the status of the place. Of course I reported them as TOS violators. Let the scammers do these.

Your phone number is personal information.

Plus for out of towners, its spending money to make money. Not that anyone would be that foolish.

I don't see the issue here for this particular HIT. Most people have free long distance on their cell phones in today's day and age. A restaurants phone number is easily attainable from the yellow pages.

Unless you are saying that calling these numbers will get your phone number flagged for spam?

CrowdSource had a lot of phone call hits like these.

I don't believe it's against TOS. They do not ask for your info, and you could always put *67 before the number to prevent the restaurant from seeing yours.

Wasn't aware of the *67 trick.

My phone number is already in too many marketers' hands. Will not take a chance that somebody will sell it to others. Call blocking is only partially successful - the spammers have ways to defeat that.

How often are these posted? I've done a bunch and will continue until I've maxed out my HITs for the day.
