HI All,,,,,,,,,, I had submitted a 30 $ hit named ' Map current product categories to new product categories ' from the requester ' Capitol Supply ' on March 9th. It took around 15 hours to complete the work. But today morning he rejected the work. See the reason for the rejection below:- Is this justice? I was working for he last 8 months in Mturk. Always I try to submit quality works only. A scammer. A beggar is even good more than him. I am really depressed. I don't have any problem with the dollar. If the gone, no problem. Thats ok. But the reason for the rejection? I am really depressed about that reason. Do you think is this justice? Is this manners? This is the end of my Mturk life? I don't want to work for these scammers.
How does that become the end of your mturk life with just one rejection ? Did u try mailing the requester and asking him what was the reason for the rejection ?
You should still leave a review on Turkopticon. Requesters like to change their names and sneak back in unawares. Techlist used to have a historical list of requesters/IDs (https://www.techlist.com/mturk/requesters/) but it hasn’t been available in ages. I searched for ‘Capitol’ and found nothing on either mTurk or Turkpoticon. If you are making a good living off of other requesters, you should not let this bad apple rain on your parade.
Hi Nadiya Sis... Very sad to hear this dear....sis...very nasty requester...He just stolen your work. Never quit mturk for this reason... As a lazy mturker ... and with 2 years+ I have not even touched the 200$ and you with 8 months got $2500+ and this is a great winner and success thing dear... You go and report in the TurkOpticon... Don't get despair... you made many many $$... you can make more than that too....I was really inspired by you and your earnings...
If you will click on that contact link (“Capitol Supply”), you will be redirected to a form that lets you contact the requester. Could you paste that link in this thread? It will not identify you, but it will provide the ID of the HIT batch and the requester.
This guy is really a nasty fellow, but mturk is not that kind. Everyone will admit to this statement. We should try to teach a lesson to this sh1t requester, not just quit from turking. You are good turker, more than that you are a good friend of mine. I don't want you to do this at any cost. We don't want to miss your presence here. Don't say that you quit.
As stated before, don't let one requester ruin it for you. It is frustrating, but you are a good worker and will recover from this.
Letting go because of one bad experience is definitely not the way. It only shows you in a poor light. If anything, it should only make your resolve stronger. Remember you can't always win. You win some, you lose some. I do understand how you are feeling at this point. I too had a$45hit rejected for no reason. But then, I was naive, I am a lot more matured now. Take it in your stride and move over.
Hello Nadiya, I understand how you feel Hope you will consider continuing to turk despite the bad experience. I am finding most of the requesters I work for to be ethical and fair. You have made some interesting posts here and I hope we will continue to see you here too. Best Wishes, Shavon

You should definitely stay. Maybe give yourself a short break if you need, but never let one person with low ethics and morals have any power over your choices. In fact, you can look at it in another way. I know it's frustrating and I'd be angry, too. But, you and others who have gone through what you are going through, are helping newer turkers like me. Thanks to all of the wonderful people like you who warn others about such bad practices by some requesters, I take extra precautions before I accept a HIT, and I've been able to avoid any such scams so far. I check turkopticon reviews, and am very cautious with requesters who have yet to be reviewed. I may only do one to three of their HITS until I see how they respond. You will recover from this.
