i think this is where you test out different websites.. they have their own company that hires people to do this and the pay is the same.. i looked into it but just was not interested at the time.. but check into it you may like it.. if it is what i am thinking of
This is right. You're technically a contract employee for whomever you complete HITs for. Considering this, Amazon should be giving us much more protections and consideration. We are not slave labor to be thrown away at will, and we shouldn't be treated as such.
Exactly. But you're stuck without any back up from Amazon, which is insane. The whole system could be a million times better if they put any effort into it at all.
unfortunately that is not how it works though.. you are an independent contractor which makes the rules and protections different.. there should be more protection for workers though

They have certain criteria for each hit (like age, location, things like that) but what it is: You test a website. They will have you search for something on a website, play a game, test a new online tool, etc and they record your voice while you do it. They will have certain goals per website (like find a camera you like, reach level 4 in a game, etc) and you have to talk about it and the site while doing it. Most HITs are completed in under 20 minutes.
