Awesome, I used to have a reef, I have 8 planted freshwater and shrimp tanks now, 3 breeding programs including endangered Mexican goodies. Total FISH NERD.
What terms and abbreviations should be included in our Resources mTurk Glossary? Hey everyone, I am working in collaboration with RWStein, and hopefully some of you guys, on a glossary/abbreviation guide for new turkers and forum members. When completed, the guide will be posted in the Resources Forum. We have some abbreviations and terms ready, but need your feedback and advice... What terms should we add to the glossary? I will update the list as I get suggestions, and will provide credit in the final post. Here is the list we have so far: TO – Turkopticon. A system to review requesters. CS – CrowdSource. A requester on Mechanical Turk. CF – CrowdFlower. A requester on Mechanical Turk. AMT/mTurk – These are shorthand ways of referring to Amazon Mechanical Turk. As you can see, it is definitely a short list so far, but we hope to get more. This is the place to suggest abbreviations and terms that I missed, as well as to propose new abbreviations. For example, TurkAlert could become TA. Thank you all! If you have suggestions, please post them in this thread, to keep things sorted from the HITs thread. http://mturkforum.com/showthread.ph...ur-Resources-mTurk-Glossary&p=52465#post52465
i was at the store and this two people were seated outside arguing about the election one was in the maybe early to mid 40s and other was in the mid to late 20s they got to talking about the economy and the early 20s guy said "your generation fucked all of us in the ass without a condom you shouldn't even have an opinion on the economy" it was like a knock out the older guy just got up and walk away
I have been doing some by SpeechTranscript , DSTC Labelling 1. It only pays 2 cents but approves in less then 5 minutes and takes about 1-2 seconds to do per hit.
Permanent Change of Station. When they just hand you papers and say HEY GUESS WHAT YOU'RE MOVING ..... AGAIN.... IN 3 DAYS/Whatever time amount they decide. My husband is Active Duty Army. I sometimes forget that y'all don't automatically know all of our lingo D: Sorry!
answer i got from maggie xiong Thanks for your interest in our project and reaching out! We decide relevance by majority but won't reject HITs because you disagreed with the majority in a few cases. We will reject HITs from a worker if he/she disagreed with the majority a significant portion of the time, i.e. when someone is just clicking randomly instead of actually working on the HITs. Given that most of the time the answers are rather apparent, your HITs won't be rejected as long as you actually answer it. We would like to approve hits when we have all the answers, but it can be sooner than that. It should be no more than 7 days in any case. Best, Maggie
