Lol no way do I make a lot of money on here! Working my way up though. Yesterday I made $20 and almost crapped myself! Although working everyday for a couple months and I am able to give my kids a pretty good x-mas, so I am happy.
My daily goal is five bucks. I lose my shit if I go over, and it's aiight if I don't. Luckily my bills aren't dependent on my turking. =-)
Just like any job, the more time you put in the more you'll make. Everyone has slow days though-today being a big one.
Depends on how much time you have to spend on it! My usual "goal" is about 25, but sometimes (like this week, except for today) I haven't had more than about an hour a day to mess around, so I've made $8-10 a day. I'm usually in and out though, because I have a crazy schedule.
Trust me I'd rather turk all day if I was a baller like some of the people here. I can't stand almost everyone at my job. I'll remember that next time Agent^2 posts something, thanks!
I just work on here while my almost 3yr old naps or watches his shows, or whenever else I can get on here while my husband and 8yr old fight me for the computer. Ok, thanks everyone, I feel better.
I hear that. I have a 2 yr old and and 8 yr old. Luckily my b-f does not want the computer that much.
everyone has their own goals and time they can spend on this, both due to other obligations and how well they can handle what are often thankless and repetitive tasks, and that's mainly what they're referring to. i jokingly complained about only being at around $60 - any other day i'd be perfectly happy with this, but in comparison to how much i was making with the rubin batches, it's barely 1/4 of that. i think first and foremost we're all beholden to whatever hits are posted. that's the main element beyond our control, and it shows clearly when someone like rubin posts batches how much of a difference the available work makes in your income potential for the day. i think the second factor is time. it definitely helps to be available to catch anything good that is made available, and while the morning and afternoon seem busiest, great hits and batches have been posted at all times of the day and night. after that, i think picking up as many of the hits posted in this thread each day can definitely get you to at least $10-20/day, i think there's a goal of $25/day but that's probably from some other thread on the forum, and i tend not to leave this thread due to laziness/refusal to multitask outside of HITs. anything else comes from the experience that you gain through turking, figuring out which HITs are worth the time they take, which ones you're most comfortable with, which requesters post new tasks at what frequency, etc., and some of that learning gets a big acceleration from being here.
Nope. My goal is $25-30 a day. Maybe a little more on days like today when I dont have class. But I dont do this every day and have been known to go 6 months spans w/o doing surveys, so I'm not as experienced as some of the other ppl on this forum who do this everyday. The more you put in, the more you get out of it. And you have to keep in mind that most of the better surveys are posted during the day. My advice to you would be to follow this thread. I found it last year and it really helps. A lot of good tips and recommendations are posted here.
I'm fairly new to Turking (about 2 months), but I suspect there are a few things at play - qualifications & number of HITs approved that make you eligible for the higher-paying hits, experience, the amount of time you spend Turking, and timing. For example, I work during the day and as I'm watching this thread go, it seems there are some great HITs while I'm at work (I'm totally missing out on MedCrowd). I set a goal for myself to make $50/week, but if it weren't for the writing hits from CrowdSource and recently Matt Rubin, I'd never hit that goal.
