I'll be getting both, but ps4 will wait when there is more of a catalog of games for me to choose. There will be no backwards compatibility with ps3 games on the ps4.
Yeah, that's what I am thinking. No backward compatibility really sucks. And moreover, I am sure there will be a price drop on PS3.

I feel it's working holding on to PS3 for now. I haven't even played The last of us yet. And Dark souls 2 coming next year.

I'm working on converting to master PC race right now through mturk. Never had a good computer to really enjoy the games that much. I'm going to build a dank pc with a good monitor to enjoy the next couple years of games and its gunna be a blastie
I wonder if it really is more profitable to release a new console w/o backward compatibility. You would think they would have that to sell more units, but maybe the tech is more difficult to the point it's not as profitable. But then that makes me think of updates. I don't know enough about tech to form a valid opinion but that's my $0.02.
I think it is, slightly though. By still having support for the ps3, there will still be buyers that will buy a ps3 so there's profit there. If you axe the system completely, there's a loss of profit. There are still games in development that are for ps3 only, not ps4. all the more reason to keep producing PS3s.
