16? It's not "creepy" at all. I'm 24. It'd be weird to date, sure, but to find a 16 year old attractive- most people can't tell the difference between 16 and 18, certainly not 17 and 18, just from looking at a girl. (in case you don't realize, most women are fully developed by 16, if not they're very close to it.).

Every time I see your avatar I swear I get this mental image of a really cutthroat, sarcastic individual. And the avatar itself is kind of creepy. XD But I mean it in the nicest of ways...
Oh, lordy. Look, I'm not trying to start sh*t, I'm really not, but that's literally the exact logic that was just used to minimize the sentence of Cherice Moralez (the Montana girl who committed suicide after she was raped by her teacher)'s abuser. 14 is almost 15, and 15 is almost 16, and, hey, 16 is almost an adult! So she was totally in control of the situation! Dude, seriously, you can't use the "slippery slope" argument here. 'Cause it works the other way, too. (Some girls develop by 15. Or 14. or 12.) And that IS creepy.
Uh no, not in the slightest. This is a false equivolency. Rape is wrong, period. Having sex with your student is illegal and wrong, period. One, power differential, two, abiity to influence grades. 16 is 4 or 5 years after most girls hit puberty. That is not young, that's fully developed, and the age of consent in many countries and some states. Now tell me buddy, can you tell the difference between someone 16 and 364 days, and someone 18 years, 0 days? I strongly doubt it. -Very few girls are 4 years past their first period at age 12. Almost all are by age 16. Very very few girls are fully developed at 12, and the average height is probably less than 5 feet. The average height of 16 and 18 year old girls is roughly the same.
It's not if you can tell the difference, it's when you KNOW they are underage. That' s when it's wrong, imo. But, I'm a woman, the mother of a daughter and the grandmother of 3 granddaughters so I'm a little more sensitive than others might be. The idea that some 25 y/o thinks my 16 y/o gd is "hot" creeps me out. It's wrong, plain and simple!
I don't want to ruin anyone's night but just consider that people are people. A lot of male teachers find their high school students attractive. Same deal for female teachers. Heck, same for doctors. Same for some relatives, same for some spouses, some parents, etc. You're going to be miserable your whole life if you dwell over this unspoken truth. I don't care. Don't let her go out in public then. It's a lot more common than you'd like to think and most of the time it's not with bad intent.
