John, try combining the Excedrin with something else -- ibuprofen, Tyleno, Motrin, Advil, Aleve -- whatever you like best. The two meds have different ingredients which will each work on different pain centers to help with the headache. Take one of each instead of two Excedrin, or two Tylenol, et cetera. Wait half an hour and if you're not feeling any better, take one more of each.
