    What is this?

I am Tjbot! I'm a solution devised by the genious mods to prevent there ever being a day that hit threads aren't posted! The whole point of my existence is to post a hit thread if one doesn't exist by 12:08am PST. If you see this post, assume that this one is the main post. One of the mod team will clean up existing posts and consolidate once they wake up and get online. As my name indicates, I am a bot. I don't post, nor do I respond to PM's. If you have any problems, send an email to tjbot@ns4t.net or PM Tjololo, he can help out with any issues.
Want to make tomorrow's thread? Just go for it!

I guess I qualified for part 2. Too much writing for my liking. 12-14 min. They actually quoted $7.25 an hour minimum wage HIT as if that is a living wage.

Watch out for these guys. Kaitlin. She had some mistakes so just mass rejected, fixed the survey and put it back up. Mirac Samutoglu, again mass rejected when his software indicated more than 70 percent of respondents were bots. I'm getting more of these rejections from new requesters using the built in bot detection software in qualtrics. I love paying for these assholes to learn on the job.

Because of this experience of a messed up study, they said they won't return to Mturk anymore. That's sad. I wonder why they think there are bots. I never understood that. Are there really people programming bots to do their HITs? No idea.

I think there are bots, but not as many as some of the requesters think. You can see them on Remesh hits when you are voting between two answers people give. There will be some answers that are like dictionary definitions. For example on a White Claw Remesh you will see answers like "a colorless volatile flammable liquid that is produced by the natural fermentation of sugars and is the intoxicating constituent of wine, beer, spirits, and other drinks, and is also used as an industrial solvent and as fuel".

Requester: Please write several complete sentences & describe...

Me: Provide me with a text box that accepts more than 25 characters and I'd be happy to.

Do ANY requesters actually test their own studies before spending a bunch of money on them? It would take minutes, far less than the time invested into designing and building the survey.

You'd think it would be useful for the professors to make the students Turk for a couple weeks. I would think it would be very educational. They wouldn't have to ask whether I've seen these questions before, because they'd see them a few hundred times a week. They'd see all the common mistakes that people running a study for the first time run into. Hell, I've seen them all this week alone.
