Welcome to the forum! Definitely possible! It will just take time to get there. First you need to build your numbers: Your HITS approved. The more you have approved, the more HITS will be available to you. I'm strictly a part-timer (in between a regular job and being mom to three boys), and I make $100-$200 a month. $500 is well within reach if you have a few hours a day to dedicate to turking. For just starting out... -check out the Need Numbers link above for easy hits you can to rack up approved hits, which open up better hits to you - do your homework on here reading the new member tips, etc. There's a ton of valuable advice. - skim through the "Greatest Hits" daily thread for links to surveys or hits you might have missed. Don't get discouraged! It takes time to figure out which types of hits you're good at, like to do, and which pay best. It's not always the highest dollar amount - sometimes you make a lot more doing multiple simple hits for a few cents than a lengthier one that pays a quarter. My first couple of months I had plenty of days I felt like I worked a ton for $1 or so... But it gets much easier the more you do it. Feel free to ask specific questions if you have them...
