    Hi all,

So this is the place to advertise :) Thanks, mturkforum.

I am a grad student at North Carolina State University and would like to share my survey link on visualization.
It takes about 30 minutes and pays $.50.

Here is the link to the HIT. Like other studies, pls perform only once if you're interested.
    https://www.mturk.com/mturk/searchbar?selectedSearchType=hitgroups&requesterId=A5LACWQ0DRQ0N

We are conducting an academic study about grouping items by dragging items in a tree view referring to the left image. There are five practice tasks, and five main tasks. The experiment takes about 30 minutes. Prerequisites are described below.

    1. In order to run the experiment, you must have at least 800x600 resolution of a monitor.
    2. You must distinguish colors.
    3. You must be 18 years of age or older.
    4. Before the main tasks, you will be asked to enter your age, gender, and occupation. We refer to them only for research purposes.

We pay you $0.50 for completing this study and $0.10 for each correct main tasks as a bonus!

It only takes about 30 minutes but have allotted 90 minutes to give enough time.

    The details again - :)
    Title: Group the items
    Requester: JUHEE BAE
Description: Group the items in a tree view refering to the image on the left.
    Keywords: group, hierarchy
    Reward: $0.50
Qualifications Required: Masters has been granted , Location is US , HIT Approval Rate (%) for all Requesters' HITs greater than or equal to 95
    Link: https://www.mturk.com/mturk/searchbar?selectedSearchType=hitgroups&requesterId=A5LACWQ0DRQ0N

I hope a lot of people join in!
Let me know if you have trouble finding the HIT.

    Thanks,
    Juhee

Sounds like it might be interesting but I can't do it because I don't have the Masters qualification. Are you getting much response?

I would agree with EWD. This hit sounds very interesting but by choosing to make Masters part of your qualifications, I have been excluded from this hit. Perhaps if you don't get a big response from Workers you could remove that qualification.

    Thanks!

    Removed "masters" qualification.

    Hi all,

    Thanks for your interest.
Yes, you all are right about the masters qualification restricting people to join in.
I've removed masters qualification so let me know if you still have trouble finding it.

    Thanks,

Masters is still on and the pay is $0.50 still.

    Is there a new link?

How to change qualification with current batch?

    Hi,

I updated the qualification and payment but it seems it's not updating to the current batch.
I've tried to create a new batch but I have to pay again.
Trying to find a way to only change the qualification setting and payment with current batch.
Sorry, but it's my first time using Mechanical Turk and it would help if someone can help me about updating the current batch.

Yes, you cannot update a batch once it is posted. In order to make any changes, you need to delete the current HITs, and post the updated ones.

"A lot of people" don't have the Masters Qual., so don't count on it.
