He has a massive amount of hits up right now and a pretty good TO. All you have to do is find an attorney's email address.

Sounds like you are the requester. The TO isn't that great.

That's why I'm asking I want to know if anyone's experienced anything good or bad doing his hits like mass rejections.

I looked at those, but they weren't quick finds - mostly just generic yellow page or review page types came up in the search result on google. If it isn't easy to find, it isn't worth the time.

I haven't had any issues with him so far. My HITs are still 'pending approval'.

People should e-mail the requester and ask why something was rejected.

I have found in that many, many requesters are newbies. How can you tell? They have to no reviews. And, they honestly just don't know how to make a HIT more user friendly. They welcome suggestions! Send them the link to their reviews so they can see what is going on. Truly, they WANT their HITs worked on because they have deadlines just as we do ** to get 'er done **.

We are all part of MTurk and can make things better and a win-win for all.

I can afford to try 50 to 100 of these today; I will advise as to how they panned out.

I have also done around 150 hits. Just gave the NA option in around 10 hits. Remaining hits, I was successful in finding the email. Hope he will approve it.

All hits are approved. Good one.

The 40+ ones I did on the 18th just approved. I will throw him a bone on TO later.

Any tips on finding email addresses? My experience has been that if the firm doesn't have their own domain, you're SOL - and if they do, about half of the time they just have a generic contact form.

Some of them are last name first and others are first name first.

ex: Thomas B David which ended up being B. David Thomas

His source list of attorneys also includes a lot of dead people.

Is anyone doing these tonight? I've done about 20 - found 1 email, 10 dead people, and 9 N/A's. Don't think I'm gonna keep going

I've only done two. I'm waiting to see if I get paid, but I might do more seeing how almost everyone else likes them.

So Gorman put up a new batch of hits... kind of a mess if you ask me! He is requiring no N/a's and he wants links to the source. What do you guys all think about this? Have ya tried the new batch yet??

tried 2, got nothing. no time for it.

edit: I see he raised the price again. I might give it a go, but I think that new No N/A rule is a little irrational.

This rule would not be irrational if he would only allow a link to an online contact form. If that was the case you could at-least find six of eight of them. But this isn't the case.

this is the issue I have with the find the email type HITs, if they would allow the contact link everything would be fine. I get that those links aren't as convenient as email, but why they can't understand that some people prefer this in order to keep their privacy, i'll never understand.

Didn't see this thread in time. Emailed him and posted on the daily thread.

    Hi,

I've done a lot of your hits when you posted them last time. Seems you've made some changes that I'm concerned about.

I see that hits should be submitted with a source which is a good idea. But you expect people to return/skip hits that can't be located. That's going to create thousands of hits that many people will work on and not receive a penny to do so. That's not a good incentive to work on your hits.

I'm not sure if there is a way to flag these so other Turkers don't have to weed through work that has no answer for zero pay or what a good solution would be.

    Just my 2 cents worth!

If you happen to catch the HIT while it is being put up or taken down (happening as I post now), you can get some findable ones.

But eventually, I end up seeing the same handful of names over and over and over and over again. No way to move past them.

Anyone doing the 5 centers? They are approving pretty quickly and I'm having some good luck with the Alabama state bar.
