I'm sure there are people that have some scripts that help them out, but I don't. I also don't think anybody that takes it seriously uses any. You wouldn't be able to use for most things and have it work efficiently, as in, getting things done correctly. You would probably end up with a lot of rejections and getting blocked. Then again, I don't write scripts so what do I know.
Started in Late November and you gain this much amount, really appreciated, at the same time i had some unclarity on your earnings , somewhere you are doing different with your account, dont mine, its bcoz staying in mturk since more than a year i have requesters which are some regular and some make workers limited, being joining in november what kind of requesters you grab, am unable to get that. I am pretty sure that since from november, Med and some else only giving regular work and mostly as individual we can earn some 15$ in a day with med type requesters, Anyways I feel Really Amazing by seeing your stats.
I was on a $100-170 a day run for a lot of December. Been able to do a minimum of $100 a day on weekdays here in January and less on weekends, because of it being a little slower combined with me not working as much on weekends. Keep in mind that before I started with turk, I worked from home anyways, and now this is all I am doing. So I am working more than some people on here but I usually don't work more than 8-10 hours a day, unless there is something really, really good to keep my attention longer. I never really understood, and still don't, how people say they shoot for $15 a day. I can understand it if they are working just a couple hours, but if you are working more than that you should have expectations higher than that. I did not look at a single forum until at least a month after I started, and in that first month I had no trouble getting up to over 5k HIT's... and I have never had trouble finding something to do. Even since I joined the forum, I have not seen anyone talking about any good HIT's that I hadn't already found before I ever joined the forum. I guess what I am saying is it surprises me how low some peoples expectations are, daily, on here. Set them a little higher, it's possible. I have had very few weekdays in the past 3-4 weeks where I wasn't able to do $100 or more. There's always SOMETHING to do.
Frankly, even i stay for long hours but couldn't make that much amount in 2months, i mean, there are requesters who are uploading batches regularly(i am sure that you earn huge bcoz of batch hits), but my point is grabbing hits more than others, is really you making difference here among other turkers. Is there any logic you are following? Please share with us, so we can also earn some pennys Forgot to ask , Are you from India?
No I am from the States. I honestly don't know what to say... I mean, I don't do anything that isn't mentioned regularly. I have multiple alerts set up so I know when my favorites are available. I guess the main thing that helps is not having distractions. When I work I work... I may do something for a couple hours and then take a half hour break and get back to it. I would be willing to guess that a lot of people cut their hourly's down quite a bit because they watch TV in between HIT's, or stop to say something on the forum, etc. Wish I knew the magic thing to say that you are looking for but I just am not thinking of much at the moment.
Oh and I refuse to work on anything that pays less than $5 an hour... and I still don't like doing it if it's less than $10. However, if it is dead, or I'm bored, or there is just literally nothing else to do, sometimes I will work around the 5 or 6 mark. I justify it when I do by thinking about how making $5-7 in my boxers is better than 12 bucks working for somebody else. I guess I just don't understand why people have trouble making their goals. For instance, I was very distracted today and barely feel like I worked, I am ending my day with around 32.73 and am very disappointed with that. Don't take it the wrong way, not trying to sound uppity about it, I just am not happy if I haven't made more than $75 in a day.
If you don't mind me asking, what is it that limits you, being from India, from it? Can you not do most of the same stuff that we can from the states?
You must know something I don't. I started early Jan. and have about 70 total today earned. I average a dollar a day. I spent about a half hour searching for something and about 10 mins working. I do this nearly five hours a day. I keep wanting to quit doing it, but there's nothing else to do. Its really getting old though and if I never get this top tier qualification, I am most likely out.
I have the same issue here being in Canada. A great number of HITs, and most surveys, are restricted to US workers. Check out how many HITs are qualified as "location is US". It's very frustrating, I wish more requesters would use custom quals rather than location restrictions or masters qual. We all search the same internet.
I was going to give the same answer to turkmaniac's question. And, not getting away from the actual thread topic, hats off to munawar to reach up till here. Because, once his account was suspended and and the other time his account hacked. It affects the person a lot. Inspite of this, he's made a come back to achieve these figures. Truly a great and dedicated turker!!!
