Hello! *usual I am new to this intro* Basically college starts in a month, and I forgot to budget for the registration fee, I also organised to buy a friend of a friend's textbooks for one of my modules. My question is, which is the most realistic goal for my first 3-4 weeks of turking: 100e fee or 35e books? I understand it is advisable to use scripts right? I am not great with technology, do I have any hope of getting by with just one or two basic ones?
The only script I use is turkopticon. I made $111.00 in less than a month. Surveys are your best friend. Also, I work full time, so I usually don't dedicate more then 3 hours a day (and those are my days off). Work days it's one hour, maybe two depending on how I feel.
You should get the scripts here. However, just starting out can be on the low side as you need to build your numbers up. I have over 7000 and I still cannot do some of the best batches. Also, I do a lot of surveys, which are great, if they are worth the time. That helps money-wise when there are no batches. Another thing you should look at is the daily hits thread. They post hits everyday through out the day.
I try to keep the HITS in large numbers right now. Even if they pay lower than I really want I need my numbers up so I can get at the meat on those bones on there. Transcription seems to be the larger money when you first start. I do not type fast enough to make it profitable doing that. I'm averaging about $40 to $100 per week. Once again that will go up as I get more qualifications and HIT approvals. Hang in there! It will come.
