I'm not shocked by the article about misrepresenting yourself, but I'm naive. I had no idea cheating was so widespread. I try so hard to be honest on my surveys, thinking about the answers that I'm not sure of, sometimes scrolling back up to change an answer.

Is that the troll? It's best to ignore them completely, because what they want is attention. Maybe he'll move to another forum.

Hmm. She's changed the title. It used to say problemS. And the instructions said there would be THREE of them. After taking a look at the "first" one, I could easily see it taking ~3 hours total and I bailed. It that really was the only one I am annoyed.

I found a way to cheat the entire memory test of one of my surveys. Do you think i should tell them about it?

Also its at times like these that i feel bad for requesters.

Like Seeker says. A requester. Jimmy Dragon is the one where you transcribe business cards. He had bad TO. Might be trying to get away from all the negativity by creating a new account and more people onto his HITs.

Sure tell them. Flaws in a survey isn't good. You might get a surprise bonus out of it, never know.

I expected it. People are naturally dishonest. Will you give $1 to the other person or keep it for yourself or split it 50/50? 9/10 people always keep it for themselves. Thats why you need to make sure they are not allowed to do it such as auto demographics etc.

I disagree about the auto demographics. If you setup your demographics through Amazon you can't easily change them, but then again most people's demo's don't change much.

    From TO:
"Careful careful careful, policy they want categorized changes within the batch."

I've gotten 3 different policies in this batch so far. I wouldn't have noticed if it hadn't changed from 3 possible answers to 2. Have to check the instructions on each HIT to see which policy they want answered.

I always do a 50/50 split if it's another turker I'm asked to share with. Few days ago there was one where the survey asked to share with a totally randomly chosen stranger. That's the only time I declined. I figured it could go to Bill Gates and he didn't need a share of my bonus. ;)

I wasn't talking about sharing money but about faking your demographics. Some people might registert with fake demos.

The sharing things make no difference in your payment. They're just conjectural.

I always keep everything for myself personally. Every single one where im person B no one shares shit with me so one day i said screw it and just changed that. Such is life.

The only time i change it now is if its a group thing and it will just end up getting all of us nothing unless i concede because others never will. Even in group games its either i concede and take a small amount and them more or we both get nothing every single time -.-

I always assume that "other turker" means the requester. Same thing with "charity".

Did one of those once where person B can reject the split so we both get zero. I split 50-50. They rejected it.

There was a more complicated one recently where they made a decision, then based on their decision I may or may not get to make another decision. They were so paranoid they picked the option which left me no decision to make. Thus guaranteeing BOTH of us the lowest possible bonus. Genius.
