So I bought Mount & Blade Warband on Steam the other day, finally.

Oh I just saw that and was about to give everyone the news. Still would have been too late I guess though.

Even if you hate it at first, stick with it. The combat is Actually Good, which sort of differentiates it from your standard action fare, you should expect to suck a little bit. Then when you don't suck, play a mod instead of the Native module. If you want to play "Native as it Should Be" play Floris.

But obviously if I were you I'd play A Clash of Kings. Starting out is hard, taking over everything might be impossible, kicking Ser Gregor Clegane's ass and then hopping into the cheat menu to take his sword...mmm tasty.

 

It's become a tradition in this place for us to gather in front of the television, put on House Hunters and relentlessly talk shit about the people on it. Said one of the meanest things I think I've ever said tonight lol

I don't hate it, actually. I didn't do too bad "fighting"(ie managing to survive somehow) the first few times, got a bit too cocky and tried to fight some looters who came after me, 18 of them vs 19 of us. They were pretty much all using bows, so we all died/got taken prisoner.

It's cool though. Combat system is... interesting, manages to feel fun even if I'm currently missing hits at least 75% of the time.
