I seriously need a step by step solution for these ...I don't get 'em. On a loaf of bread, there is a patch of mold. Every day, the patch doubles in size. If it takes 40 days for the patch to cover the entire loaf of bread, how many days would it take for the patch to cover half of the loaf of bread?

It's always one day before the end. If it doubles in size and it takes 40 days to cover the entire loaf, then half of the loaf would be covered in 39 days.
It is not as cheap of a meal using bacon, but every once in awhile it ain't bad. Have to cook the bacon anyways its been open for a few days
