Mark is a nice guy but Medcrowds really are overhyped on here. It's like some mythical creature. They are dependable but pay wise, it's not that amazing.
Also, if you read my posts at all, you would have known that I'm NOT saying that no one should work on Rubin's. I'm saying that Matt Rubin knows that people still need work and money and cut his pay based on that, using poor work as a terrible excuse. On Christmas Day. That makes him a scumbag in my opinion.
He'll reject 1-5% of work you do for "failing" attention checks and approve the rest but not too quickly. I've worked for Sangwook/"slee" for a long time.
Instead of seeing these hits as Matt Rubin. Start seeing them as Piazza Technologies, Inc. It's a company. It's not benevolent. All it cares about is it's margins. It dropped the pay because demand and supply of workers is so high. It's just following simple economic principles. Getting mad over it is just pointless.
The republican party must LOVE the two of you who drank the kool-aid so hard that you think that people who provide work have absolutely no responsibility to maintain any standards, EVEN the ones that they created. Shut the hell up about "following economic principles." Do you even know what you're talking about? Economics and especially the worker/employer relationship is way, way more complicated than "supply and demand" or whatever it is the other poster said. Do you even know what that economic principle refers to? Because the way you used it shows that you don't. The problem is the way that requesters/employers in general treat workers. And if you don't think that this is a problem, then you're a perfectly created automata by the nonsense that the right wing spews about job-makers and how we should all be fellating them even after they slash pay 40% on Christmas Day.
There's no reason to bring politics into it. He cut his pay, he has his reasons, some of us agree with him , some disagree. End of story. Just drop it guys. This isn't just to ntucker, it's to Chris, Myself, and everyone else.
It would be easier to do this if excusing the Rubin pay cut didn't mean that every other time a requester cuts their pay, the narrative becomes more of "well you should be thankful that they're willing to pay a slave wage!! they don't have to!!!" instead of worker exploitation.
Thing is, you aren't an "employee" when you Turk. You are being paid for production at whatever the requester can get the work accomplished decently at. And, with the global economy, and this type of work, you can expect it to always be on the downward paying slide. Every WAH job I have ever seen eventually goes down in pay to see where the "bottom" is. Google rating, via Lionbridge etc... typically pays $14 an hour. There is now a Chinese company called iSoftStone who is paying $9 an hour to do the same work. People clammer all over themselves to get a job with them even though it is $5 an hour less for the same work. I live in a rural area where there are literally waiting lists to work fast food for min wage. WalMart is our largest employer and something like 80% of our population is on Medicaid. In fact, most employers here pay min wage primarily because they can, and they will flat out tell you how great it is that you can still be on Medicaid because your wages will be below the cut-off.
I'll be okay with the price cut (not happy, who would be?) if this means those doing shit work get weeded out. This batch has been smoother in general for me, but last one I did I was getting bad course info and it wasted time. But I will say, the timing on this was very Grinchy.
Being somebody that sucks at Rubins and doesn't care what the pay is, lol at guys who think they are entitled to good jobs all the time on turk. If you want high paying jobs you gotta get the quals for the high paying jobs bro.
