I'd suck at the soccer ones too and I fancy myself as a serious sports fan, so don't feel bad. Are you using niftysplit on those Burke hits? I'm not sure if he still has it, but I think it was heyscottt who had a B quote in his sig that kind of explained how to do them.

I still don't like them very much, but if you use niftysplit and all that jazz then they're kinda cool.

And I'd say that another player talking about Kobe would be main.

    You're so stupid!

No, I'm totally kidding. Everyone who does this is new at some point.

They are 50-cent HITs that go pretty fast; most of the time ranking links to webpages on how relevant they are to a topic.

Here are the 3 different PandAs:

    https://www.mturk.com/mturk/previewandaccept?groupId=34VKX0JC79D5CUZEB8E16D4SCCIBR0

    https://www.mturk.com/mturk/previewandaccept?groupId=34OVCINT39Z0TKUM5UE5B2KMONWARJ

    https://www.mturk.com/mturk/previewandaccept?groupId=3QVO2PZ6PRS50TKEYTP11NUNGPJBQ0

Today it's the ones that end in BR0 that have been posting.

Ok, so everyone convinced me I should be using TM (and they were right- it's lovely) and I use scraper sometimes still, but....the burkes never pop up there. I get that I need to run a panda for them but how the heck will I know they're posted other than seeing them posted here?

My TM won't tell me at all? or it'll tell me but I need to run my panda if I want to pick them up?

Turkmaster just stopped working for me. I refreshed the page and no Turkmaster. But it's not a Greasemonkey update this time. Hit Scraper is still working. Oh shit. Not good. I don't want to be forced to Chrome again. I wonder what happened. There is not a new update on the TM script page.

AND, it's still working in Chrome.

I've done WARJ a few times in the past and found them semi-decent, I've got my times down to 3 or 4 minutes anyhow.

These were the first BR0s I've done and absolutely hated them -- might simply be because of the topics. I slogged through one on Kim Kardashian and it took forever. Then got the "Future" one, which I literally had to google to understand why the articles were about rappers. And then the best I could do was open each page and search for the word "Future". It wasn't in the first 5 at all. I hate not knowing wtf I am doing and doing a miserable job. And I hate the fact that returning it so someone with a clue can do it properly will lock me out. Hell with it.

I've never seen a BQ0. Perhaps that is for the best.

if it doesn't even show up on the left side check to see if there is a # at the end of the url in the browser bar eg; "https://www.mturk.com/mturk/dashboard#"

    if so, delete the #

I have a panda in TM for Burke, the person, every 15 or 30 seconds. When it makes a noise you can peek and see which batch and turn on a fast panda for just that batch.

Which browser are you using it in? I run some of my scripts in Chrome and some in Firefox, because sometimes they break for some reason, but they'll continue to work in the other browser. This is a workaround and I feel like a total hack for even suggesting it, but that's what I do. I also use the Nitro browser when I want to run completely script free or Dolphin when I'm on my phone...

    I'm a browser whore.

Snagged 3 more Burkes which pushed me over $20 for the day. Pretty good for taking most of the day off.

As for Burke's themselves, I've gotten 1 WARJ. I didn't mind it, but the BR0s I really like. They go really fast. I just open each link in a new tab, do a quick search for the topic and 75% of the time there are no results so I know it's off topic. If I find it I'll just skim the article really quickly. I can do them in anywhere between 2-4 minutes depending on how many are on topic. I haven't gotten any of the BQ0s yet so I have no opinion.

....and as I type this, I snagged another burke. Back to work!

I have Chrome and Firefox both on most of the time now. When HitDB went crazy, I moved it to Chrome, since apparently it didn't work in Firefox very well before this latest thing even.. I had no idea I wasn't getting the full deal...until I moved it and could actually search..and have pages come up that weren't just blank haha... anyway, I guess I'm a browser whore too. :( I have half the scripts in one, and half in the other...I even brought up IE for something or other once, but... *shudder*

Im probably going to end up regretting this, but the whole point of the Burke's is to find out what different people of different levels of knowledge think about the relevance of the articles/links. Its not to look up the topics and then make a decision. You click the button that represents your level of knowledge and then do the hit. If you click that you dont know anything then they expect you to know nothing, not look up players or people or whatever. Many of you seem to really over think a lot of these hits. I f you are not comfortable doing the hits with no knowledge then just dont do them.

Burke is a requestor, Peter Burke is the full name, he posts HIT's every so often, usually they are .50$ each to complete, moderately easy to complete. You're going to have to use a "PANDA" to catch one though because they go very fast now.

God, a week or 2 ago, I was forced for a week from Firefox to Chrome because Greasemonkey had auto-updated and no longer worked in Firefox. I wasted so much time checking and trying other things, like refreshing and updating FF (and reloading some add-ons) and loading Chrome and add-ons for Chrome, and reinstalling Greasemonkey (the new version of course) and then I didn't even feel like working because I hated working in Chrome. Plus Chrome gave me 4 blue screens of death and one video driver crash. Now that I have it installed I can use it for the occasional survey that requires it but I don't like it.

I occasionally bring up IE. When I missed something on the initial page of a survey sometimes I'll open the link in IE to see it.
