I have a smart phone but still couldn't figure out how to download the app even with the instructions. Maybe I'm just tired.
Change setting on your security settings to allow apps from unknown sources to be installed. Then go to the bit.ly url on your phone, request access with your google account to download it. If it says they will email the owner and ask to grant you access, use a different google account. Worked for me
