Damn On the plus side there is no liabilty on her part...just got to wait on the money to get refunded
You may not have. I bought 4 commercial cookie sheets last year and I love them. A friend asked me where I got them and I sent them the link and they either really went up or were on an awesome sale when I got them because I paid $9.74 for 2 of them and now they are $13.20 EACH and when she looked they were almost $30 each. WTF?
Yeah, this. Online fraud - my card was right here next to me the entire time. Btw, it's worse Faith. My student loan company screwed up and didn't cancel a payment I cancelled on Monday. They swooooore to me it was cancelled and swoooooore I wouldn't be charged. Called them yesterday, told them about the fraud, double checked everything, they swooooore it'd be okay. So now my account is verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry in the negative and I will be swearrrring at them tomorrow. >.< Why my bank approved a huge debit like that in the midst of a fraud investigation knowing my account had nothing in it in the first place is far beyond me. I might have to swear at them, too.
The cards with the chips may take care of your issue, Morrisa. Having a second account somewhere is a good idea though. Always nice not to have all of your eggs in one basket. Credit unions are good and free, but not always convenient. Speaking of food, I've got to go. Picking up a friend and we've got reservations at Claim Jumper. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Don't know whether your laptop is worth dumping more money into, jenni3kat, but a few suggestions for getting more life out of old gear: 1) Reinstall your OS. Sometimes all it takes is removing accumulated cruft to make your machine run better. 2) Replace your hard drive with an SSD. I've seen a couple of 120GB ones on sale today/tomorrow for $30-$40. Check out FatWallet or your discount shopping website of choice. 3) If your laptop doesn't have 4GB of RAM, get more. Used RAM is just as reliable as new and cheap on ebay. 4) If you're a tinkerer try a lightweight Linux distro. Lubuntu or Xubuntu are pretty newbie friendly.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWbxay9zwoo I hate this commercial, but am I seeing things? At 10 seconds, wtf is going on with her bottom teeth?
Sucks, but everyone should keep 10k around the house under a mattress or something so when stuff like this happens it's not as impactful. Doesn't earn anything but at least for a rainy day it could come in handy for situations like this.
I'm not saying leave it on the counter, just put it in a wall safe, or a small safe you can get for a couple hundred and put in your closet. Good for rainy day money or if you misplace your card.
Hey ETC, is there an approval process or can you set up the Bluebird right away? Just trying to figure out how to pay my Netflix bill due on Tuesday with a negative bank balance and a cancelled credit/debit card. OMFG I need a vacation.
I know what you are saying. hahahaha I actually did have cash saved at home. Had money in envelopes. Half at my house and half in a safe elsewhere. Then I had to spend a lot of it. I agree with you on having cash, I was just laughing at the 10k. I'll just turk harder LOL
Approval right away and then like 3-7 days for the card to arrive. EDIT: Ohh well you can't use it till the card comes. You could go grab a temporary card at walmart and use that until your permanent card comes
