''cooking related''...?Plain or fancy cook? How 'bout a small slow cooker? Great time and effort saver. No more standing in the kitchen over a bubbling cauldron. Easier on aging(who admits that) joints. Mine's in there waiting for the ham to thaw out. Maybe with a honey/orange juice sauce? Or apricot jam? Recommendation: time saving little counter top appliance. 'Cause she needs another one of those!
I'm looking for something sewing related, so I was going to hit you up for help, lol! I'm way out of my element when I try to figure out fancy crafty shit.
Oh she's got appliances for days, lol. Definitely doesn't need those. Knives. Kniiiiives. This is mission impossible here. Santoku + 7inch + full tang + sheath or something. It's like yeah sure I *could* pay $120 buuuuuuuuut under $20 would be ideal at the moment (LOL I KNOW). I did find variations of the above. 5". With sharpener no sheath. Omfg. Meanwhile, I'm trying to convince myself she doesn't reaaaaallllyyyy need a Cangshan (and I'm not succeeding, lol - thing's been in my cart like 100 times now). Oh and yeah in exchange I'll help you find sewing stuff!
What kind of sewing? I used to make all my own clothes from when I was about 8 to up in college. Years later, I took up quilting and now purses. My fabric stash fills half a large room. Design and color theory are my besties. What type of sewing?
How about a bread scorer? It's a handle that holds a razor blade. You use it to cut a shallow line down the top of bread dough just before you put it in the oven, which keeps that pocket of air from forming, the one you sometimes get just under the crust. Few people have them and they're really useful if you bake a lot of bread.
