08/14 Holding Places Like A Boss Sunday

When I was growing up, we took super cheap vacations. Like we drove a couple hours a way, and camped (legally) for a few dollars a night. We went to the grocery store and bought something unique we could make at the campsite, and just hungout in a different city. So I don't feel like we really took vacations my friends took, but we spent time with family and made it work. I never flew anywhere till I graduated high school.

 

This was my kids first vacation for the most part. My oldest is 17. The main thing for us is that we have family far away so for the most part (I have my mom here in WI but everyone else is in NC and MA) it was adding a vacation (like Dollywood with my boyfriend and his son) onto our trip to visit family who we haven't seen in years since they aren't getting any younger. omg, it was SO amazing seeing my grandmother and two of her siblings and their spouses all in one place. I haven't seen that in like 20 years. Was definitely worth all the gas money, lodging and time away from work.

Did I miss an awesome work week or was it a good week to take off?

 

I got a $25 hit that only took 40 minutes. That is the highlight of my career so far turking here.

It was a good week to take off. Mostly you just missed some drama around here

 

I made at least $50 a day this week. I was actually starting to think turk was coming back

I really do not pay all that much attention to track and field. Are you watching NBC coverage? They just did an interview with Usain Bolt (sp?). I cannot believe how tall he was compared to the reporter! (No idea if all track stars are that height)
