"The third author asked for Turkers who had written over 10 reviews on Yelp to complete a study. Almost 900 Turkers began the study and all but 33 dropped out when they were asked to provide a screenshot that verified their qualifications." HA. That sounds about right.
Theres a thing on reddit that lets you sell gift cards to other people but you basically need to be an active reddit poster. Ive used a kinda black market site called epicnpc to sell any gift cards i have but i mainly use it to sell mmo currencys. Dont know if either are acceptable for you. If you do try epicnpc make sure they go first or get a middle man to handle it since you need decent rep to get most of the decent buyers and sellers since they need some kind of proof they wont be scammed etc.
Of course I don't know the details of what they asked but some people might bail because the screenshot might reveal personal info (yelp user name? email? dunno, I don't use yelp). And some might bail thinking taking and uploading a screenshot is a pain in the ass -- if it was a 20 cent survey or something, I might well do the same. That said, yeah, most of them were scamming.

30% of people surveyed in that study had a Catholic upbringing? That is higher than I imagined it would be. These are some interesting statistics. 7% own a kayak? For real?
Found the source to my frustration, I was totally using an older version of hit scraper... I Turk so infrequently I had no idea. ahhhh is it beer:30 yet?

Thanks. I was thinking there was a reddit sub. I post there sometimes but not a ton. I am pretty wary right now since a delay or getting scammed would pretty much ruin my life. I googled a bit and read some articles from reputable sources reviewing sites out there and am going with cardpool.com. Getting less than I'd like but it saves time and hassle.
scraper. A second to load the hits from mturk, 5 seconds to try to get TO data (usually failing), THEN it displays the results. Not surprisingly, the surveys are almost all gone by then.
I would hope that the answer is 0 many. Yeah, plenty of legit reasons to bail but the numbers on this one made me laugh. I also liked the one that they cited above that one. They had two surveys with specific age/medical condition requirements but nothing enforcing it. 17% of the respondents had the same Worker ID. So they are scamming and stupid.
