my theory is that handing out random masters and watching the forums exploded didnt shake things up enough over the years so they just clicked on fuckshitup.exe, applied it to the site and are now sitting back and watching us squirm.

or some new dude at Amazon sniffed too much glue while designing the site. either way its upsetting.

 

SOmeone told me Amazon implemented a new API sitewide so Mturk was part of it. But still they couldnt do some more features people think they need? Stuff pending ? HOw much is made in a day? Come on now

 

Thanks but I'm just going to move on. I reported the HIT. I just wanted to let the guy know his survey was borked.

 

I keep trying to get into that Android study, but when I catch one it tells me I'm already in the system and can't submit the hit.

I'm definitely NOT signed up for it, though. I tried emailing the requester and he never got back to me.
Anybody else having this problem? It looks like good money for very little, so I'm bummed.

 

I noticed yesterday that 'contact' is only available after you submit a hit now. Hopefully that is another thing the wonderful script writers out there can help resolve with an export or something. I hadn't done that hit or I could get to the contact for you. It doesn't seem like the old contact system is going to work for us anymore.

 

Seems watching for rejections is an extra step now, too.

 

That's what irritates me the most. Why can't they be like Bethesda and harvest good ideas from modders?

the weirdest thing iv'e seen added is that if your submit a hit now and it doesn't go through, it will remember your completion code when you come back to the page.

i mean thats cool i guess but never once have i not already had the code still copied so i could just re apply it.

basically they added things no one needed and nothing else. they could have easily took five minutes to browse the forums and found out what people actually wanted out of the new site.

OMG. Yes. Why didn't they look at the most popular scripts we're using, things like the Hit Database, the clear radio button, turkmaster, etc., and add those functions to the basic site?

 

i think bear just means it weird that mturk didnt add these things themselves this time around.

 

there is a detail link popsup when you have the hit open,
upper left, works in preview too for some hits you're qualified for

it is still using the old contact link but maybe they got more strict
about using the Hit ID as well as the requester ID and requester name
maybe they have a direct requester.mturk.com link they will add later
nobody knows
